I love Wikis, I hate Wikis
Or, put simply, I really want a Wiki that:
- Offers a clean, simple, and complete web API. So I can easily code a desktop app to edit.
- If that's not the case, a virtual FTP serving pages as a bunch of .txt that I can edit with my notepad/bbedit/whatever. And drop random files to create attached files to a page.
- I could explore at a higher-level than just the 'bunch of linked pages' view. Give me partial document trees, links summary, dangling pointers
- That I can use (through a desktop app) with others when writing a given page (think release notes for a upcoming build) by sharing the document, a la SubEthaEdit, and then push to the wiki (might be combined with 2/)
