Yahoofabulator
So Yahoo! Acquires! Konfabulator! My first reaction was 'WTF ?' Second was 'uh ok, they can target 10.2 to 10.4 and Windows'. Third reaction: 'oh ok, that's really smart. Google is frightening, and Konfabulator could be a really good handle for Yahoo! client-side. Google has a strong entry point on the web, let's avoid this problem by providing something directly on the user desktop, appealing, dynamic, and easy to integrate with high-level (yahoo) APIs'. Makes sense.
Update: another (similar) way to look as this: "this is a purchase of a desktop software company by a web software company" (Tim O'Reilly, on Radar)
